PTG wins 2024 community impact award from springfield tech council
We are honored to announce that Pitt Technology Group has been awarded the 2024 Community Impact Award by the Springfield Tech Council. As a company deeply rooted in the Springfield area, this recognition truly humbles us. Our commitment to serving the community through technology has always been a guiding principle, and to see that work acknowledged is deeply gratifying.
Led by owners Kevin Waterland, Doug Pitt, and Andy Dierks, our mission has been to leverage technology to drive positive change. We focus on a wide array of services—from managed IT, software development, and cybersecurity, to A/V solutions and access control—but it’s our partnerships with local nonprofits that define the heart of what we do.
Over the years, we've had the privilege of supporting numerous local organizations, including Care To Learn, Springfield Regional Arts Council, and History Museum on the Square. Our contributions, which have exceeded $600,000 over the last four years, have been directed at building sustainable technological infrastructures for these nonprofits. Whether donating IT equipment, upgrading conference rooms, or offering cybersecurity services, our goal has always been to empower these organizations to focus on their missions without worrying about their tech needs.
One example we're particularly proud of is our work with a local nonprofit that needed a mobile solution to continue offering services during the pandemic. We provided all the equipment necessary to convert a donated RV into a mobile conference room. In another case, we supplied over 90 tablets to enable remote communication, ensuring that no disruption occurred in vital client services.
At Pitt Technology Group, we firmly believe that technology has the power to uplift and transform communities. It’s through the hard work of these nonprofits that we’ve been able to make such a meaningful impact, and we remain dedicated to continuing this work.
Receiving the 2024 Community Impact Award is a testament to the importance of these partnerships, and we look forward to further deepening our support for the organizations making Springfield a better place to live. Thank you to the Springfield Tech Council for this honor, and to our community for trusting us to serve.
Together, we can continue driving positive change through technology.
